Recently I was thinking about how great it was to be able to carry our 5th child around. With the other 4 we always used a stroller or just carried they in our arms. This last time was so different. I used a baby wrap that kept baby close to me but left my hands free to do other things. Have you tried one yet?
I am currently developing a baby wrap for Cute Clara, and I’m helping promote and sell baby carriers by Jublii so I’m always thinking about, reading about, and talking about carrying babies. yesterday I came across a research study about the benefits of carrying your baby that was published in 1986. It found that lack of carrying can lead to increases in crying and colic. No wonder my last child is so much more content with life.
If you are considering a baby wrap or carrier, or if you are looking for a new one, I highly recommend shopping around. There are many to choose from, but they don’t all work the same. Cheaper wraps tend to be made of heavier material and are less breathable, which can be too hot for summer weather. High end wraps are often very lightweight and stretchy but have to be retied over and over to keep baby in place. That is why I am developing a wrap for Cute Clara. I want to make one that is light and breathable but not too stretchy. Wish me luck.
When it comes to carriers, there are also lots of different ones. Look for one that provides support for both mom and baby. My favorites are those by Jublii Creations LLC. Check out the testimonials. Whether you use a simple wrap or a more structured carrier, baby will be happier for it. Do the future a favor and raise a happy kid. We’ll all be glad you did.
